Under the leadership of Dr. Ramesh Wadhwani, Saisystems International has grown to more than 300 employees with international operations in six countries. Through this network, the company has continuously developed strategies for growth, surpassed financial challenges, expedited transitions into new technology, and made a permanent mark in the industry for more than 30 years.
His focus as an entrepreneur and philanthropist has been on rapid and sustainable growth while maintaining a company culture that is deeply committed to customer success, team enrichment and community development. He instills these values of helping society with a deep rooted philosophy of “love all, serve all” into his business, employees and his personal life.
Dr. Wadhwani’s professional affiliations include: the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC) as a board member, the Shelton Economic Development Council as a committee member and President of Prasanthi Trust, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that aims to improve communities through education, infrastructure and other humanitarian programs.
Dr. Wadhwani holds a Doctorate of Science in electrical and biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, as well as a Master of Science in electronics from the Indian Institute of Science.
Sunita Wadhwani founded Saisystems International in 1987 as a mail-order house for personal computers and a hardware systems testing laboratory. In 1993, she led the transition to Sai Systems International, Inc., which had an increased focus on technology consulting services.
She is currently responsible for overseeing the financial and operational functions of Saisystems International, including the management of A/P, A/R, P&L, and strategic business planning.

Kaylan Rao Bapatla is based in Pune, India, managing products in multiple domains ranging from government, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and more.
He joined Saisystems International in 1999 as a software programmer and has worked diligently toward his current leadership role. His strong business acumen, foresight and zest for exceeding customer expectations has made him an integral part of development both on and offshore.
Kalyan holds a degree in computer science from Bangalore University.
Venkata Kota has been with Saisystems International since 1999. With more than 25 years of experience, his expertise ranges across the various domains of designing, developing, integrating, and implementing enterprise architectures and information systems. Additionally, he is certified in AMA Business Conversation Skills, Lotus Notes and Microsoft.
Venkata holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and an engineering diploma in electronics and communication from Meenakshi Ammal Polytechnic College. He is also a faculty member at A.A.N.M. & V.V.R.S. Polytechnic College, Miracle Technologies and Peers Technologies.
Chirag Modi joined Saisystems International in 2003 as an account executive and quickly excelled into his current leadership roles. For both Saisystems Health and Technology, he is responsible for sales, client account management and project implementation engagements.
He began his career creating solutions for the animation, gaming and media industries, and also has experience as an IT programmer.
Chirag earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Mumbai University and is a graduate of the executive program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Soundara Raja is based in Chennai, India and joined Saisystems Health in 2009 as a Certified Medical Coder. Through the careful nurturing of his problem solving, decision making and team management skills, he quickly became a key leader at the company.
Utilizing his 12+ years of industry experience, Soundara currently oversees the entire RCM offshore team as Delivery Manager. His expertise in multi-specialty coding and insight on industry updates provides clients with continued education sessions in various states.
Soundara holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and CPC Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders.
Sheryl Riley, RN, OCN, CMCN

Sheryl Riley first joined Saisystems Health in 2011 as a client, but soon transitioned to her current executive role in care management. She leads the clinical team that focuses on oncology and chronic care, care transitions, ACOs, electronic health records, and more. Sheryl was instrumental in the development and design of Saisystems Health’s care management software, intriCare.
As a practicing nurse for more than 25 years, Sheryl has gained experience in strategic business and partnership development, clinical oncology and nurse navigation, disease care, and population management. She has written more than 22 different disease management programs and has been published in countless medical journals.
Sheryl is currently an active member of task forces for the Oncology Nursing Society. She is also the former president of the American Association of Managed Care Nurses, and remains involved as a member of the board of directors as well as a chair and co-chair of various committees.
Deepak "Don" Shownkeen has held his current position at Saisystems Technology for more than thirty years. Don is considered the first employee of the company and is highly regarded for his dedication and work ethic.
As Senior Vice President, he spearheaded the creation of the information appliance division and is responsible for all IT purchases and Value Add Resales. Don has forged meaningful relationships with government agencies and other federal clients throughout the years, attributing to his continuous success.
Don began his professional career in 1979 as an Assistant F & B Controller at Ramada Hotels International. Based in Abu Dhabi, Don joined the company as a member of the pre-opening team for a new property. In 1982, he transitioned to the Ramada Dubai as a member of the pre-opening team. He was later promoted to F&B Controller at a new property in Dubai.
Don looks forward to continuously developing his client base at Saisystems Technology through innovative approaches to networking and relationship retention.
Manoj Wadhwani manages operations, sales and delivery for Saisystems Health with more than 20 years of experience in the health and technology industries. He has been instrumental for the company’s growth both within the United States and internationally. He has also successfully led the organization through several acquisitions and their subsequent integrations, being credited with the 22% company growth YOY since 2015.
His specialties include strong delivery and application development, business consulting expertise and experience with a diverse portfolio of industry verticals. His extensive technology background adds a unique element to Mr. Wadhwani’s perspective on healthcare services; he strongly believes the two are meant to work in synergy and, when successfully managed, produce the best clinical and financial outcomes for providers, patients and payors.
Manoj holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science with a minor in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and attended the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University for his executive education certification. Manoj is currently pursuing his Master’s in Business Administration for Executives at Yale University.
